Bear’s Long Road to Recovery

A few months ago someone found this little fellow wandering alone and turned him over to Happy Home Animal Sanctuary. He is 10+ years old. We named him Bear. When he came to us, among other problems, he had mange so badly that it had caused open wounds.

Bear on the day he was found, October 5, 2014.

Feeling better.

With the proper nutrition, veterinary care, and love, Bear gradually healed and grew stronger.

As you can see, he is doing much better now. We are still unable to let him be adopted because he needs one more surgery.

Although he was let down by the humans who were supposed to love and care for him, he is the sweetest, most loving dog you will ever meet.

Update Oct. 5, 2015: Bear has found his forever home,  where he is treasured.
