Kittens Springing Up Everywhere

Warm weather in the desert Southwest has ushered in the beginning of “kitten season”, and the volunteers of Happy Home Animal Sanctuary are hard at work rescuing and fostering pregnant cats and litters of kittens. Foster homes throughout the valley give the animals lots of TLC and bring them to weekend adoption events when they are ready for permanent homes.

One foster Mom has dubbed her litter “The Fabulous Four Quartet”. The mother cat is a very sweet, smallish gray tabby. Her babies look very much like her. The “band” is made up of two boys and two girls.

NameJunior8weeksJunior – Should be called Jumping Jack Flash. Very quick on his feet and loves to climb. Likes to crawl under ankles and play with anklets.

NameJacko8weeksJacko – Such a flirt, likes the ladies. Good horn man. Can be tempted to purr on occasion.

NameJessie8weeksJessie – She can beat those drums like no other cat. Easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean.

NameJasmine8weeksJasmine – Sweet, tiny Jasmine. Just like a flower in bloom. But that tiny thing has a set of pipes…can wake a sleeping man on the other side of the house when wet food is concerned.

The band says they are just about ready to play a gig at your home for permanent.

Many more kittens will be coming to HHAS adoption events at Petsmart and Petco in the coming weeks. Visit us there, or look us up on Petfinder.com for the most current listings of adoptable pets.

  1. GOOD MORNING….I AM THE MAMA CAT OF THE FOAMED KITTENS FROM 6 YEARS AGO. THEY ARE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME AND WE ARE ALL WELL AND HAPPY IN NEBRASKA.
DO YOU HEAR ABOUT THE OTHER FOAMED KITTENS ADOPTED THERE? I HAVE OFTEN WONDERED IF ANY OF THEM HAD HEALTH PROBLEMS FROM ALL THAT FOAM. MY PHOEBE SEEMS TO BE HAVING SOME NERVE PROBLEMS. SHE STARTED OUT LAST YEAR WITH A QUIVER TO HER LEFT LEG AND NOW IT IS STARTING IN THE RIGHT LEG. WE ARE DUE FOR SHOTS AND I AM GOING TO ASK ABOUT THIS, BUT JUST THOUGHT IF ANY ONE ELSE HAD PROBLEMS FROM THE FOAMED KITTENS. I ALWAYS THANK HAPPY HOME AND ALL THE VOLUNTEERS THERE,YOU ALL MAKE SUCH A DIFFERENCE. LINDA
